Thoracic - Oncology Partnership

Our teamwork is key to your successful recovery.

When it comes to treating cancers of the esophagus and lungs, Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center’s multidisciplinary approach can make a world of difference.

You or someone you love has been diagnosed with lung or esophageal cancer. It’s a terrifying scenario. At Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center, we recognize this, and we understand that quick and thorough review of various treatment options can mean all the difference in the world.

Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center is uniquely qualified to treat lung and esophageal cancer patients, thanks to the collaborative approach between our accomplished thoracic surgeons, world class oncologists at the Northern Light Cancer Institute, and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Our physicians go the extra step to get patients in quickly. We then spend as much time as necessary explaining tests, treatments, and options so patients have a clear understanding of what to expect.

Each week, our dedicated team of providers meet to discuss each patient’s unique circumstances and challenges and develop a plan of care individualized to each patient. The care team includes pulmonologists, radiologists, oncologists, thoracic surgeons, and nurse practitioners. Their combined expertise ensures you will receive care in a timely and meaningful manner, and best of all — close to home.
