||GENERAL OVERVIEW:Under minimal supervision, performs professional levelaccounting work including the examination, analysis, maintenance,reconciliation and verification of financial records. Deals mainly with post-transaction reportingand functions and provides guidance to lever level accountants. Assists in the accurate preparation offinancial statements, report and analyses and in the maintenance of accountingprocedures.ESSENTIAL REPONSIBILITIES:·Examines accounting documents for accuracy andcompliance with policies and procedures and in accordance with GenerallyAccepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Providesguidance to lower level accounting personnel.·Prepares journal entries and reviews entriesprepared by lower level staff.Responsible for preparing the monthly journal entry control log formanagement review.·Generates financial statements and supportingschedules for monthly reporting or as needed.Prepares and analyses basic financial statements, charts, tables, andother supporting schedules. ·Analyses accounting transactions and determinescorrective actions or adjustments.Preforms detailed fluctuation analysis on the financial statements andother analysis as requested. ·Ensures general ledger transactions are recordedaccurately, timely and support documentation is sufficient. Review records of receipts and disbursements,verifies accuracy of all interfaces and sub-ledger transactions. ·Performs other duties as assigned or required.QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum·Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from a four yearcollege or university plus 3-5 years related experience in accounting, or at aminimum, associate's degree plus 5-7 years related accounting experience, orequivalent combination of education and experience.·1-3 years of accounting experience with generalledger system knowledge.Preferred·Bachelor's Degree (Concentration in Accounting)·Health Care Experience·Master's Degree·CPA or CMA
