Job Details Job Summary:

This is a full-time position with benefits for a four-year time span per the life of the federally awarded Pediatric Mental Health Access Grant.The purposes of the grant are to increase access to pediatric behavioral health care for the citizens of Maine; increasing clinical support to rural pediatricians and primary care providers who serve children; providing bestpractice standards and tools for these practices; creating a method for psychiatric consultation and care coordination for these practices.

The ProgramCoordinator reports to the grant's two AVP projectco-leaders. The Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all deliverables of the HRSA grant per NorthernLight Acadia Hospital's ("Acadia") role as a grant sub-awardee to the main recipient – Maine Center for Disease Control ("CDC"). The Coordinator will also directly carry outmany of the grant deliverables.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee the administrative and operational running of Acadia's role in the grant, including project start-up and implementation activities
  • Coordinates participation of Acadia leadership with key responsibilities of deliverables at the state level of the grant
  • Oversee the day to day operational engagement of Acadia personnel with participating network members
  • Coordinate operational systems (including all communications, data, human resources, clinical services, etc) to ensure high quality operational integration, consistent with best practice standards, consistent with project objectives outlined in the grant
  • Coordinate Acadia's role in timely collecting and reporting of utilization and other key performance indicators as well as other data points required of grant participants
  • Organize and maintain a network of primary care pediatric providers and associated network stakeholders
  • Continues to foster strong working relationships with key personnel at the partner sites to ensure satisfaction and process improvements as needed
  • Creates and maintains a resource and referral network to be utilized by pediatric providers
  • Assist in the development of technologically aided workflows that align pediatric consultation requests with available clinicians. Monitor workflow, identify gaps and barriers to service delivery. Ensure workflow adherence and identify opportunities for improvements and efficiencies
  • Tracks internal grant expenses and facilitates timely reporting of grant financial reporting in coordination with Acadia business services
  • Understands, and adheres to Acadia policies and completes yearly updates, ICare, CPR training, etc
  • Refrains from the abuse of chemicals
  • Maintains patient confidentiality at all times
  • Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner in the community


•Bachelor's Degree required

•Healthcare experience preferred

•Program management experience preferred

•Grant management experience preferred

•Demonstrated ability towork well with a diverse group of people

•Understand basicbusiness/financial principles and accounting

•Possess organizational skills.Show strong proficiency incommon software platforms(ie:Microsoft Office, Adobe, etc) and an ability/willingness to learn new programs
