||In the absence of or in addition to the Director of Pharmacy, responsible for all aspects of drug storage, distribution and preparation throughout the hospital, including procurement, storage, dispensing, recording and control of all drugs. Responsible for monitoring drug therapy, providing drug information and education to patients and staff, and participation in hospital wide activities that relate to quality of care in drug therapy.QualificationsBachelor's degree with 2 years of experience required, 5 years of experience preferred. Hospital Pharmacy experience, Critical Access Hospital experience preferred. State of Maine Pharmacist License Eligible.Performs work in a manner which incorporates essential elements of safety as evidenced by observation and incident reports. Proficient in Automated Dispensing Machines, Pyxis Perferred. Proficient in Pharmokenetic dosing of medications based on patient's renal and hepatic function. Proficient in Antibiotic Stewardship. Proficient in Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook. Maintains records of all Pharmacy transactions as required by Federal, State and Hospital Regulations. Prepares or supervises that preparation of, all parenteral medication requiring admixture whenever possible. Utilizes and oversees the billing and charge system for all pharmaceuticals throughout the hospital. Strong problem solving and communication skills
