||PRIMARY FUNCTION: Collects specimens, performs quality control and analytical testing, evaluates and reports results. Required to work flexible shifts, share night call, weekend duty and holidays on a rotation basis in accordance with the Laboratory schedule and needs.QUALIFICATIONS: Registration as a Medical Technologist is required (ASCP, AMT, HHS or equivalent). Bachelor's degree or equivalent as per CLIA regulations. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Able to work under stress and in emergency situations, manual dexterity, including hand/eye coordination and ability to handle fragile Laboratory equipment, supplies and specimens. Prolonged visual concentrations and acuity. Color vision, ability to maneuver in small areas. Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs., bend, twist, crouch, squat, pull, push, reach, remain stationary for short periods and perform repetitive motions.
