||Job SummaryDirects and implements all functions of the assigned Physician Practices consistent with the overall policies and in compliance with applicable regulatory guidelines. Establishes and maintains relationships with physician leadership to successfully collaborate on designing, implementing and monitoring key operational issues and executing on the growth strategies of the practices. Provides leadership and direction to assigned Physician Practices resulting in superior patient care and improved clinical and financial performance. Key responsibilities include management of the systems and operational processes of the practices, including but not limited to revenue cycle, budgeting, financial and capital planning, results monitoring, business/strategic planning, human resources, information systems, risk management, marketing and public relations initiatives, physician contracting, and facility maintenance.The incumbent performs duties in accordance with performance standards. The incumbent may have access to highly confidential patient, employee, and Mercy proprietary information, and must handle and protect the information in accordance with hospital and system policies, HIPAA requirements, and the highest level of ethical standards. The incumbent is responsible for reporting all security events, potential events, and other security risks to the organization. The incumbent is accountable for employee safety and will attend safety and loss-control training, engage in injury prevention, perform accident and injury investigations including conducting root cause analysis, and assist in returning employees to regular duty. The incumbent is responsible for participating in and completing all patient safety initiatives appropriate to the position, and conducts all job responsibilities according to the Mission and Values of Mercy Hospital.Requirements:A Bachelor's Degree required. Master's Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred. At least five years of practice management experience is required. Experience with hospital owned, multi-site medical practice management is a plus. Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills in dealing with the public, employees, hospital management and Board as well as solid negotiations and conflict resolution skills. Must possess a high degree of judgment and initiative to operate independently and autonomously. Experience in strategic planning, information technology (including practice management systems, electronic health records, Excel, Word), budget development, process analysis and policy development is required. Knowledge of the physician practice revenue cycle, including CPT, ICD-9/10, HCPCS coding, RBRVS, and provider based billing is required.
