||The Lead Physician is responsible for theprofessional and clinical activity of the Physicians and PA/NP providers inthe practice. The Lead Physician will meet regularly withAdministration, Providers, and the Practice Manager to ensure that clinical andbusiness goals are being met. The Lead Physician will haveaccess to highly confidential patient, employee and/or Mercy proprietaryinformation, and must handle & protect the information in accordance withhospital & system policies, HIPAA requirements and the highest level ofethical standards. Desired work experience and skills:Broad and in-depth technical knowledge andskills related to the practice of family or internal medicine. Relevant training and experience in a primarycare, internal medicine, or family practice setting desirable. Good formal and informal teaching andsupervisory skills. Good planning andadministrative skills. Ability to speakclearly and comfortably to and use tact, discretion, and sensitivity in dealingwith patients, including good interviewing and counseling skills, and the abilityto explain medical problems and treatments in accurate and understandable lay language. Ability to deal effectively with Northern Light Health personnel as well as a wide range of individuals and organizations outside of Northern Light Health.
