||Job Summary: Assists manager in annual reviews. Assistant Manager will provide direct supervision over senior therapist and educator. Manager will audit QI initiatives, be the API designee, schedule staff and other duties delegated by the Respiratory Manager.
Required: · Five years as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in an acute care facility.· Current State of Maine Respiratory License
Other Skills Required: · Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office products · Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. · Excellent problem solving skills
Color vision. Close up visual acuity to accurately draw up medication and to read small gauges and dials. Hearing acuity to hear respiratory breath sounds, equipment alarms, manual dexterity to operate respiratory equipment knobs, oxygen delivery devises, video display terminals; to assemble and disassemble all types of respiratory equipment and to obtain arterial punctures and to perform chest compressions for CPR. Tactile sensitivity in fingertips to palpate arteries for puncture. Ability to work in an office environment.
Working Environment: Involves working closely with others, usually in an office setting and in stressful situations.
