||A. JOB PURPOSE:Toprovide high quality food service to patients and all customers in an organizedand efficient manner. Assist dietitianwith clinical functions for patients. B.JOBRESPONSIBILITIES (Essential Job Functions):·Consistently prepares nutritional healthy andpresentable food accordingly to patient/staff menus, and catering requests.·Manages and follows portion controls toeliminate waste and to save money. ·Performs inventory ordering and stocking ·Maintains clean work area and equipment·Uses accepted standards for sanitary handling offoods including temperature control with documentation.·Demonstrates knowledge of therapeutic diets·Maintains a safe environment which includesknowing and understanding hospital and departmental policies and procedures.·Reports and directly addresses identifiedenvironmental hazards when appropriate.·Reports and directly addresses violations ofpatient safety policy and/or protocol when involved or observed.C.MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS:Education:·High School Diploma and ability to read and write required.Experience:·Restaurant/Institutional cooking experience required. ·Serve Safe certification or willingness to becomecertified.·Knowledge of medical nutrition and therapy highly desired. Training:·Will train experienced cook or internal nutritionalservices assistants. ·Ability to be part of a team.Licensure: ·Must be 18 years of age to meet regulations for the use ofa meat slicer.
