||This description is representative of a Clinical Application Analyst – Intermediate level. The successful candidate will be hired at the Clinical Application Analyst (Associate, Intermediate, or Senior) commensurate with education and experience.

This analyst is required to communicate information clearly and accurately through appropriate methods, read and interpret the most complex information, collaborate with teams across departments, and listen well. This position regularly and consistently acts with the best interest of the organization, the patient, and the customer in mind. Responsible for the day to day operations of the Meditech EMR until Maine Coast has transitioned to Cerner at which time you will be trained to support the Cerner EMR. Would prefer a candidate with previous Meditech experience on the inpatient side in areas such as EDM, NPR, NUR,CPOE, RAD, PDoc, Array and BAR. As a Clinical Application Analyst, you will work closely with other IS department analysts, clinical informatics, other technical resources, and clinical staff including physicians, nurses, and ancillary healthcare practitioners. Participates in all phases of the system development cycle, including but not limited to, design, build, testing, implementation, maintenance support, and upgrades. Develops and maintains solution documentation, including procedures required to implement and maintain the clinical applications.
• Ability to gather and analyze information skillfully, develop alternative solutions, work well in group problem-solving situations, and uses reason when dealing with emotional topics.
• Manages competing demands in an environment with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected results. The ability to analyze implications of design concepts is critical. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and timelines.
• Must possess effective communication skills, attention to detail, effective follow-through and commitment to excellence, as well as the ability to provide clear and accurate directions and possess the ability to train others.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, specifically Excel.
• Participates in the On-Call rotation to provide tier 2 support to end-users.
• Must be able to travel throughout the member organizations with variable hours and complete other duties as assigned.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schematic form.
Demonstrates an understanding of NLH Information System applications, most specifically how the Ambulatory and Acute systems function and how it is used within the NLH organization. Applies systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users, to determine hardware, software or system functional specifications.Education and Experience Requirements:
Associate Level - High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred. Experience with PC computer systems required. Knowledge of the Northern Light Health clinical information system and solid experience in a clinical setting preferred.Intermediate Level - High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred. At least two (2) years as a clinical application analyst required; Knowledge of the Northern Light Health clinical information system and solid experience in a clinical setting preferred.Senior Level - High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred. At least three (3) years as a clinical application analyst required; Knowledge of the Northern Light Health clinical information system and solid experience in a clinical setting preferred.Physical Requirements:
