Northern Light Continuing Care Lakewood Center in Waterville, Maine has an exciting physician leadership opportunity for a board-certified MD/DO to provide leadership and high quality of care within our top-notch skilled nursing facility. Lakewood is nationally recognized for its customer service, quality and its seasoned managers who come to work every day and go above and beyond to ensure our residents continue to live their lives in a safe and nurturing environment. The right candidate would come to us with 3-5 years of experience in SNF and/or palliative care, familiar and knowledge of state and federal NH regulations, and possess integrity, compassion and sensitive to end-of-life issues. preferable Medical Director certification but not required. This position is currently 24 hours a week but will consider full time considerations, such as an additional 16 hours of family practice, hospitalist shifts or walk-in care.
Lakewood is a 105-bed continuing care center, with 25 bed SNF, 48 LTC, 32 bed dementia unit. Right on the same campus is Northern Light Inland Hospital, a dynamic 48-bed community hospital, all both located in downtown Waterville, Maine.
