Medical Director Community Services Opportunity - Maine

Northern Light Acadia Hospital is seeking a BC/BE Psychiatrist for our

Community Services Medical Director opportunity in Bangor, Maine!


· Assuring that all behavioral health patients receive appropriate evaluation, diagnosis, treatment and medical screening and that psychiatric care is appropriately documented in the medical record

· Recruiting, evaluating, and supervising LIP's

· Providing direct psychiatric services as needed

· Ensuring the availability of adequate psychiatric staffing to provide clinical, medical and administrative leadership and clinical care throughout the system

· Advising the Senior Physician Executive regarding the development and review of the system's programs, positions and budgets that impact clinical services

· Assuring and improving the quality of the care provided

· Provide oversight to ensure appropriate utilization of services throughout the system by developing appropriate continuum of programs, identifying level of care criteria, standards of practice, and psychiatric supervision for each program

· Participating in the development of a clinically relevant outcome evaluation process

· Ensuring optimal utilization of the electronic health record
