Psychiatrist - Chief Medical Informatics Officer


Northern Light Acadia Hospital is seeking a BC/BE Psychiatrist with a minimum of 5 years of strong clinical experience.


Opportunity:

  • The Local CMIO is responsible for strategic and operational physician leadership in the development, deployment, re-engineering, optimization and integration of clinical information systems to support clinicians and patient care.
  • Work closely with the System CMIO to align with the strategic vision and priorities for enterprise wide informatics.
  • Provide clinical leadership to advance physician's utilization of clinical information systems consistent with the goals and objectives of the local hospital and Northern Light Health's clinical and strategic initiatives.
  • Provide leadership, consultation, and coordination for the transformation of care processes and outcomes in coordination with the regional CIO and CNIO and across all clinical settings at Acadia Hospital
  • Serves as a liaison between physician and information systems leadership and management and works in close partnership with the System CNIO and CMIO, along with CNIOs and CMIOs from other member organizations to ensure clinical multidisciplinary leadership of all clinical IT projects and maintenance of clinical IT systems.
  • Assist with the identification, evaluation, and assessment of new care delivery technology, developing recommendations on the impact of integration with existing workflows and systems.
Requirements:
  • MD/DO Board Certification in Psychiatry
  • Complete AMDIS CMIO Boot Camp or AMIA 10 x 10 course within one year of hire.
  • Experience leading change in the provision of health care, with an understanding of the importance of culture, people and process.
  • Board Certification in Clinical Informatics is desired, but not required.
