JOB SUMMARY: Provides day to day administrative support to Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center, Clinical Research Center Director and staff.

Duties to include, but not limited to: (1) coordinating operational meeting with the Director, including minutes and follow through; (2) dealing with national research organizations, PHARMA, physicians, investigators, administrators and staff; (3) maintaining the Clinical Research Center financial tracking system for sponsored/funded studies; (4) working in collaboration with NL Grants and accounting services, by reporting time logs, invoices, purchase orders and maintaining budget vs. actuals for each sponsored study; (5) assisting the Director on Payroll responsibilities for the staff; and (6) assisting the Director on all purchase orders for the center's needs.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (8 years) experience

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 3 years of administrative experience; medical terminology, and accounting.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: Knowledge of IRB, CFR and FDA regulations

OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED:

· Proficient in Word, Access,Excel & Power Point

· Strong interpersonal skills

· Excellent typing speed

· Accuracy to details essential

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Flexibility, dexterity, visual & hearing acuity; ability to work sitting at work station; using keyboard; working in front of a video display monitor and angering the phone. Moderate walking throughout the facility; light lifting of files and manuals, some bending to file

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Office environment, well-heated and well-ventilated. Ergonomically correct work station
