Job Details Job Summary:

Northern Light Health is the most expansive integrated health care system in Maine with nine-member hospitals with 584 long-term beds, a single physician-led medical group, eight nursing homes, five emergency transport members, 37 primary care locations, and we employ more than 12,000 people in Maine. The Recruiter II is responsible for reviewing applications, pre-screening, completing offers, and referring applicants for clerical, technical, administrative, clinical and management positions throughout Northern Light Health.

Education and Experience:

·Bachelor's degree required.

·2 years' experience in Human Resources, preferably in recruiting required.

·PHR or SPHR preferred.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

·Excellent interpersonal communication, relationship building skills and organizational skills.

·Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

·Prior experience working with applicant tracking software platform.

·Understanding of State and Federal employment and employment law.

·Strong business literacy skills and verbal and written communications.

Essential Functions:

·Manages client expectations through understanding the issue(s), providing a timeline for getting back to the client if not resolved immediately, resolving the issue(s),and if unable to resolve, forwarding to the appropriate resource and providing the client with the forwarding contact information.

·Develops training and education for department managers on recruitment and employment law issues, including interviewing skills, techniques and HR system requirements.

·Responds promptly and accurately to recruiting requests; exhibits good time management skills to efficiently and effectively fill open positions.

·Maintains an accurate and up-to-date job description for each position that reflects the required qualifications, technical skills, behavioral factors of the position, the essential functions and the functional demands of the job.

·Communicates and coordinates with agency recruiters for temporary agency personnel.

·Coordinates interviews & selection process in collaboration with hiring managers for position vacancies.

·In consultation with hiring manager, determines final selection for hire.

·Completes special projects by clarifying project objective, setting timetables and schedules, conducting research, developing and organizing information and fulfilling transactions.

·Complies with federal, state and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements and advising leadership on needed action.

·Collaborates with hiring manager on recruitment strategy and provides feedback on progress.

·Ensures acceptable reports have been received on reference checks, background checks, license verification and driving record (if applicable) prior to recommending the candidate for hire.

·Follows system requirements for on-boarding administrative process.

·Collaborates with HR Partner or HR Director to establish the appropriate rate of pay within the established grade/range.

·Completes job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, participating in professional organizations and maintaining current on industry trends.

·Develops relationships with organizations in the geographic and industry communities relevant toactive and passive recruitment efforts.

·Must possess considerable skill in interviewing techniques, expertise in all clerical and specialized functions within the organization, a basic understanding of Northern Light Health's organizational structure.

·Attends job fairs and recruiting events to promote brand and discuss career opportunities with candidates.

Travel: This position requires up to 25% travel.

Physical Demands
Sedentary: Exerting up to 10 lbs. occasionally, sitting most of the time, and only brief periods of standing and walking.
