||~~This job represents multiple open positions~~POSITION SUMMARY: Performs inpatient/outpatient EEG procedures with direct supervision of Level III or Level IV END tech; Performs one of three inpatient/outpatient Evoked Potential procedures, with direct supervision of a Level IV END tech; Ability to learn to perform scanning and notations of Ambulatory EEG monitoring and one of six intraoperative monitoring (IOM) procedures with direct supervision of a level IV END tech. MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: High school diploma MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 3 years of direct patient contact. OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED: Current CPR certified PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess the degree of total body strength and flexibility necessary to move equipment and assist patients with personal hygiene and mobility. Must assist those patients with limited ability and those requiring total care. Must be able to reach items on the floor, stretch to reach overhead equipment to a height of 6 feet with the help of a stepstool if necessary. Must be able to reach across a stretcher to a distance of 25 inches. Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 20 pounds to a height of 55 inches. Must be able to stand and walk 95% of the time. Must possess dexterity to manipulate large/small objects, thick/thin objects, use a computer keyboard, push/turn various sizes of equipment controls, and use writing implements. Must be able to move within narrow, confined areas such as operating rooms. Must possess visual acuity necessary to observe the patient, and discern information from electronic monitors, patient chart, ID band, and other printed documents.WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Will work with VDTs for up to 70% of an assigned shift. Will work with hazardous materials and equipment. May be exposed to patients with communicable diseases, purulent discharges, secretions, and excretions. Will be required to take call on weekends, holidays, and various shifts according to the needs of the department.
