Job Details Northern Light Acadia Hospital is seeking a full-time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to provide and direct thedelivery of Pediatric Outpatient psychiatric services under the supervision of a designated Psychiatrist.
  • The PMHNP is an independently licensed clinician whois responsible and accountable for the research based knowledge, skills, andexperience to assess, diagnose, treat, and provide psychiatric care for clientswith psychiatric needs and substance use treatment needs.
  • The PMHNP providesmental health treatment using psychotherapy, medication management, and otherinterventions.
  • The PMHNP consults with other healthcare providers, provides direct patient care, andenhances the ability of others to provide healthcare.
  • The PMHNP functions as aclinical leader and as a resource and preceptor for other staff, in programdevelopment in guiding group decision-making, in implementing plans, andimproving quality of care.
  • 5 day per week schedule, M-F excluding call needs
  • Inpatient and Hospital Rounding call opportunities for additional compensationin adult and pediatrics

The hospital is the sole corporate member of Northern Light AcadiaHealthcare that provides a substance use disorder treatment program, casemanagement services, and other outpatient mental health services in Penobscot,Waldo, and Knox counties. Northern Light Acadia Healthcare is the sole memberof Restorative Health, LLC that operates an outpatient mental health clinic inBangor.
