Northern Light CA Dean Hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital nestled near the shores of Moosehead Lake in Greenville, Maine. Opened in 1911 to meet the healthcare needs of the local community, tourists, and lumbermen, Northern Light CA Dean Hospital remains an important resource for both the year-round and seasonal residents we serve. Our Health Centers in Sangerville, Greenville, and Monson also ensure quality healthcare is close by.

Job Summary


Performs diagnostic imaging procedures. Applies principals of radiation protection.

Evaluates diagnostic imaging for technical quality. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of procedures. Provides patient care essential to radiographic procedures. Recognizes patient conditions requiring immediate action. Performs administrative duties associated with the functioning of the Diagnostic Imaging Department.

Requirements

Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

Licensed Radiologic Technologist by the State of Maine.

Must maintain current CPR certification.

Physical Requirements

Must be capable of transporting patients. This involves lifting and assisting others in lifting to transfer patients. Lifting and filing of film folders requires bending and lifting overhead, as needed.

Working Environment

Possible exposure to chemicals and ionizing radiation. HBV and HIV Category II: Position involves tasks with inherent potential for needle sticks, mucus membrane or skin contact with blood, body fluids or tissues or potential spills or splashes of them.
