||JOB SUMMARY: Providing medical secretarial support to Medical Group practices which includes answering of phones, coordinating physician appointments, working to optimize physician and midlevel scheduling templates.
MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
•1-2 years experience with personal computers and frontline customer service.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
•Graduate/equivalent of a 2-year program in a medical science field or equivalent
•2 years medical office experience
•Knowledge of insurance referrals OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED:
•Ability to credential providers with payors as well as maintain all aspects of provider required needs such as licensing, payor credentialing, DEA applications and updates, and Medicare non-clinical time tracking.
•Sort and prioritize provider mail.
•Type 35 WPM
•Knowledge of computers (preferably MS Office and Windows)
•Must be self-directed to handle multiple priorities successfully
•Pleasant, friendly manner, neat appearance
•Ability to read and write English clearly and concisely using correct grammar and vocabulary.PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Sitting, Includes standing, reaching, bending, walking and stretching, hearing/verbal/visual acuity, ability to keyboard for extended periods of time. A busy, oftentimes stressful, Medical Group facility providing direct patient care, considerable amount of direct provider and staff contact.
