Job Details GENERALDESCRIPTION/STATEMENT: Assist in the maintenance of the hospital and associatedgrounds to maintain the upkeep, operations and appearance of at AR Gould in Presque Isle and Mars Hill Health Center.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

1. Complete workorders, preventative work orders, projects & call ins, in order of urgency or as directed by Maintenance Manager.

2. Replace ceiling tiles and light bulbs according to policy.

3. Replace floor tile, installs cove base and other minor floor repairs.

4. Perform basic plumbing skills.

5. Perform basic mechanical skills.

6. Perform basic carpentry skills.

7. Perform basic electrical skills.

8. Perform repairs on the building finish such as patching and painting.

9. General Maintenance duties

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Assists carpenters, mechanics, electricians, and other tradesman as assigned.


LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:

1. Valid driver's license.

AVAILABILITYREQUIREMENTS:



May be assigned to work the day, evening, or night shift. Usually assigned to one shift but may need to work a different shift from that assigned, if there is a need. Must be able to work at leastevery other weekend and holidays as needed.

EDUCATION SKILLS, EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

1. High Schooldiploma or G.E.D. required.

2. One year of experience preferred.

3. Requires verbal,analytical, and interpersonal skills.

4. Should be able to follow oral and written instructions

PHYSICAL DEMAND REQUIREMENTS:

1. Sitting. 1-3 hours/day.

2. Standing. 4-7 hours/day.

3. Walking. 4-7 hours/day

4. Lifting. 10-50lbs with good body mechanics.

5. Twisting. Infrequent: 1-120 twists/day.

6. Bending. Moderate: 130-480 bends /day.

7. Squatting/Kneeling. 1-3 hours/day need not be continuous.

8. Endurance. Moderate energy requirements.

9. Wrist Position. Moderate deviation.

10. Pinching. Moderate, 130-480 pinches per day.

11. Hand/Wrist Repetitions. Moderate: 1000-2880/day or more.

12. Manual Dexterity. Gross Dexterity with infrequent fine motormovement.

13. Either Handedness. Up to 35% of job cycle.

14. Both Handedness. 70-100% of job cycle time.

15. Sight.Requires corrected 20/20 near vision and minimal far vision.

16. Hearing.Can hear whispered voice at eight (8) feet (FAA class II).

17. Speech.Frequent clear speaking ability required.

ENVIROMENT FACTORS:



1. High/Low Temperature. Work environment is generally 70 - 80F butalso must work

out doors to maintain the grounds

2. Noise.Frequent exposure to voices, bells, routine noises, and occasionalfairly loud

sounds.

3. WorkingwithOthers. Close association is frequent and compromisesa major portion of the job.

4. ConfinedSpacesorCrampedBodyPositions.Work in cramped positions/confined spaces (2 hours per week).

5. BodyInjuries. Exposure to circumstances that may causeminor injuries:

superficialcuts, mild blows, sprains, slips, etc.Moderate likelihood of minor

injuries. Slight likelihood of significant traumaticinjury that could cause deep cuts,

fractures, orpermanent disabling injuries.
