Job Details Job Summary

Under the direction of the AVP of RevenueIntegrity, the Manager of Enterprise Chargemaster leads and provides directionto the Revenue Integrity department. This role includes oversight on allactivities related to CDM management, charge capture, strategic pricing, andrevenue reconciliation. Providesexpertise and serves as a liaison to third-party agencies/vendors, internaldepartments, organizational members, and the communities we serve. Contributes to the success of the organizationby complying with standards, expectations, and core values; continuouslypursuing professional development; and performing other duties as needed.

Education and Experience

·Bachelor's degree required

·Five (5)years of progressively responsible management level experience in a similarsize and scope organization or system.



Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

·Strong understandingof hospital revenue cycle industry best practices and financial measures.

·Strongunderstanding of governments and commercial payer regulations related tohospital revenue cycle.

·5+ yearsof hospital chargemaster experience

·Strongmanagement and problem solving skills.

·Excellent writtenand verbal communication skills.

·Ability tomanage multiple projects and affective prioritization.

·Ability toanalyze financial and operating information to facilitate decision making.

·Proficientwith Microsoft business applications.

·Customeroriented.

·Demonstratedability to lead teams, complete time sensitive projects and work bothindependently and collaboratively.

·Ability tomonitor and manage various third-party relationships

·Flexibleand able to lead change within department.

Essential Functions

People

·Providesdirection and workload to staff toward the optimization and integrity ofenterprise-wide chargemaster, strategic pricing, charge capture, billing andreimbursement.

·Workscollaboratively with peer managers to assure the integrity of enterprise-widerevenue, to focus on standardization and metrics based performance guidelines.

·Continuallymentors staff to develop and hone skills toward subject matter expertise, individualprofessional growth, efficiency and quality of work.

·Maintainshigh quality employees by way of recruiting, selecting, orienting, hiring, andregularly assessing quality of work.

·Completeall employee evaluations timely and accurately.

·Communicateswith and counsels all employees with an identified performance opportunitypromptly.

Service

·Contributesto process improvement initiatives within the enterprise revenue cycle byrecognizing process improvement opportunities, anticipating and proposing opportunities,engaging stakeholders, conducting root cause analyses and developing andexecuting plans to achieve best practice.

·Contributesto the development and maintenance of policies and education.

·Facilitatecommunication and promote integrated operations between Patient Access Servicesfunctions, HIM/Coding, Revenue Integrity, CDI, Patient Financial Services, andBusiness Support Services functions, and other departments within the MemberOrganizations and health system.

Quality

·Maintainsa working knowledge of industry best practices, guiding principles, regulatorymandates, and payer requirements and shares knowledge with key stakeholders.

·Developskey performance indicators and measurable goals to promote accountabilitywithin the revenue cycle. Monitorsoutcomes and defines real-time accountability responses to negative variances.

·Maintainsthe guiding principles and policies related to charge capture and CDMmanagement in accordance with current regulatory guidance.

·Offersstrategic and technical expertise to identify and improve financialopportunities in revenue cycle operations.

·Contributesto the development and maintenance of policies and procedures.

·Assessstaffing needs on a regular basis to ensure workflows are at the highestquality efficient levels.

·Ensurethat the overall operations of assigned services promote effectiveinterdisciplinary teamwork that results in high quality, cost effective, andcoordinated services which are responsive to the needs of patients, physicians,employees, Revenue Cycle administration, other leaders, and appropriateexternal organizations.

·Manages,coordinates, and champions multiple initiatives across theorganization--including system go-lives--in order to improve processes and supportthe revenue cycle mission.

Finance

·Collaborateswith enterprise-wide financial leadership to maintain strategic pricing.

·Develop& track team goals and objectives that adhere to the department and EMHS'sfinancial performance objectives.

Growth

·Maintainspersonal knowledge base of current industry best practices

·Attendslocal, regional, or national conferences/seminars to remain current.

Community

·Demonstratedepartmental desire to provide community benefits by way of charitable eventsor contribution outside the four walls of the department.
