||Northern Light Acadia Hospital is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) towork in directing the delivery of medical services to patients under the supervision of a Senior Family Nurse Practitioner, attending Psychiatrist, and Physician of Family Practice. Work includes conducting examinations, performing assessments, diagnosing illness, counseling, making patient referrals, providing health education, determining treatment needed, ordering tests and examinations, and prescribing medication to provide for the health, safety and treatment of patients. Requires interpersonal skills, treats all persons, staff and clients/patients with dignity and respect, and maintains cooperative working relationship. Holds primary responsibility for communicating to each patient's Primary Care Physician or Provider regarding the health and healthcare while an inpatient at Acadia. Qualifications -Must have a current Maine license as a Registered Professional Nurse. -Must have completed a Certificate or Graduate program as a Nurse Practitioner. -Must have a current Certificate of Approval from Maine State Board of Nursing, and Certification recognized by Maine Board of Nursing and current CPR/BLS certification. -Must have a current DEA Certificate. -Must have two years of experience/or be under the supervision of a Physician.Northern Light Acadia Hospital is an acute care, regional psychiatric hospital in Bangor, Maine that is a leader in the provision of tele-psychiatry services, including consultations to regional emergency departments and primary care practices.
