Position is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring Inland health initiatives, events and activities that help promote healthy lifestyles and a healthy environment. S/he serves as Inland representative in the community on health committees and builds collaborations to further community health improvement, while supporting Inland goals and strategies. Coordinates the Inland Community Health Improvement Plan, and Community Health Needs Assessment work, and is a resource for Inland and other community health education programs.Required
Bachelors Degree in Community health or public health
At least five years of community or public health related work experience.
At least two years of event planning experience.
Successful track record of collaboration, facilitation, community engagement, and knowledge of evidence-based prevention strategies.
Valid driver's license and daily access to reliable transportation to travel between hospital, community meetings, events, member organizations, and other venues as assigned.

Ability to work both independently and to collaborate the teams of individuals in diverse settings.
Strong attention to detail needed-in communication (written and verbally), planning and events
Ability to work weekend and evening hours for program events, training, and special programs as assigned.Physical Requirements
Work can involve leading/participating on walks, hikes, snowshoeing and other events that promote physical activity. Work also involves sitting and standing for long periods of computer time. Vision and hearing acuteness is required at all times. Occasional moderate lifting (up to 25 lbs), bending, squatting and stooping is necessary. The incumbent is subject to frustration and fatigue.
