POSITION SUMMARY: Provides a link between community placement sites and students in the Longitudinal Integrated Curriculum (LIC); serves as a liaison with preceptors and their students; monitors students' progress in community placements; maintains contact with Universities; provides information to and receives feedback from preceptors, Universities, and students; maintains up to date materials on Medical Education Website and collaborates with other student coordinators on team and all LIC projects. Works with the Medical Director of Undergraduate Medical Education and Medical Education Specialist in the processing of medical students. Processing includes organizing spreadsheets for rotations and housing. Also organizes orientations for all LIC medical students. Problem solves with Medical Director and Medical Education Specialist all student challenges and scheduling conflicts. Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills, flexibility, ability to handle multiple tasks, and proficient at keyboarding.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Two years of college or post HS graduate training

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Two years in office setting

PREFERED EXPERIENCE: Previous office experience in a healthcare; direct customer service experience desired.


· Excellent organizational skills and knowledge of office procedures and equipment

· High proficiency in computer applications including word and database/spread sheet software

· Effective communication skills-oral and written

· Ability to work with internal and external customers.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Sitting for long periods of time, keyboarding, walking, lifting
