Technicians provide support for multiple facets of the operations of the Pharmacy, including exceptional customer service, answer phone in a timely manner, patient interaction, data entry, prescription preparation, third party troubleshooting and sales of prescriptions.QualificationsIndividuals must have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Maine Pharmacy Technician license, excellent communication skills (phone), have previous pharmacy experience and proficient computer skills are required. Duties: Answer phones, accurate processing and filling of prescriptions under the direction of a registered pharmacist in accordance with all state and federal laws and regulations. Prepares and participate in inventory count preparation and process as required, including Cycle Counts. Skills: Must be a team player, handle interruptions, multitask and work in a fast pace busy environment. Individuals must have a caring attitude and enjoy working close to others.Physical Requirements: Sitting, standing, stooping, reaching, bending, walking, stretching, grasping, repetitive motions. Subject to sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time (up to 4 hours at a time). Visual acuity, to include color, depth perception and field of vision with or without correction. Moderate lifting (up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds frequently, and/or 10 pounds constantly). Sufficient auditory function to hear phones, pages, instrument and/or system alarms, verbal commands. Must be able to communicate verbally with others, to include phone and/or radio equipment.
