||The Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for delivery of patient care through the use of the nursing process throughout the hospital in all nursing departments. This position directs and assigns the activities of ancillary personnel on the unit, maintaining standards of professional nursing practice in order to provide optimal patient care outcomes. Registered Nurses are actively involved in Patient Education, Continuing Care and Discharge Planning needs for the patients on the unit. You are expected to participate in attaining the department and hospital strategic goals that assist with the achievement of Inland Mission and Vision statements.Required
State of Maine RN license or eligible to obtain
IV Therapy Certification
Exposed to all patient elements including blood/body fluids and other unpleasant elements. At times, long and irregular hours are necessary. Exposure to hazardous substance is, at times, unavoidable. Frequently multiple tasks and patient needs must be addressed in a rapid fashion by prioritizing life-threatening situations and organizing the remainder of the needs.
