To insure that proper methods of food handling and sanitation procedures are met during meal preparation to include the proper care, use and cleaning of kitchen equipment. Demonstrate competency in food preparation to insure food is palatable and appetizing in appearance.
Assume responsibility for avoiding food waste.
Monitor temperature indicators and record as assigned.
Receive and store food and supplies.
Order food from local suppliers as needed.
Assist in the dish room as necessary.
