||Description: Reports to the Director, Laboratory Services and/or Medical Director. The Phlebotomist collects and processes patient specimens; orders tests in the laboratory information system; processes mail; communicates results and files reports. The Phlebotomist is the laboratory's ambassador, providing important one-on-one patient care in the process of producing laboratory results.Licensure, Education, Experience and Skill Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of a phlebotomy program or a minimum of one year experience as a phlebotomist. Registered ASCP (American Society of Clinical Phlebotomist) preferred.
