Job Details POSITION SUMMARY: The Hospitality Supervisor oversees the activities of the Hospitality staff and the Nutrition Assistants. He/She is responsible for recommending new hires, facilitating orientation and training of new employees, supervising shift staff, and performing staff evaluations. The Hospitality Supervisor is responsible for holding staff accountable to the job performance and behavior standards of EMMC and the Food and Nutrition department. The Hospitality Supervisor reports to the Clinical Nutrition Manager and works closely with the Kitchen Supervisors.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: High school diploma or equivalent.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 2 years experience in food service.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Supervisory experience

OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED: Excellent communication skills. Adaptability to changing situations. Enthusiasm for providing excellent service and products to patients and inspiring hospitality staff and Nutrition Assistants to do the same. Able to deal effectively with people of differening backgrounds and age levels. Comfortable with windows-based computer programs. ServSafe Certificate within 6 months of hire.

OTHER SKILLS PREFERED: Knowledgeable of therapeutic diets. Comfortable with Microsoft Excel.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Normal work day is 8 hours. 25% of the time is spent sitting; 50% of the time is spent standing/walking; 25% of the time is spent standing in one place. Miles walked/day: 3. Weights lifted per day: 15 lb. 2% of the day. Weights pushed: 5 lb, 3 times per day; 600lb 2-3 times per day.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Works in a well lit, well ventilated kitchen and office. Must adjust to noise. Some areas of kitchen may be very warm.
