||SummaryThe position is primarily responsible for obtaining patient demographics while creating the patients account. Pre-admits utilizing phone calls and physicians' offices. Answers switchboard and directs ambulance calls to the appropriate area/extension. Works independently with all departments in the hospital. Requirements:High School diploma, or equivalent. Post-secondary preferred. Prior customer service skills necessary. One year in a healthcare setting preferred; insurance knowledge, computer skills, switchboard, or multi-phone system skills preferred. Other Skills RequiredStrong organizational skills. Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks.Ability to work independently.
