Shirar-(1).pngNorthern Light Health Foundation is pleased to announce that Shirar Patterson has joined its team as associate vice president of philanthropy.

In this role, Shirar will support the Foundation’s philanthropic strategy, donor engagement, and fundraising initiatives in alignment with Northern Light Health’s mission to improve the health of the people and communities of Maine.

Shirar brings extensive leadership experience in nonprofit management, community impact, and strategic philanthropy. During her tenure as president and chief executive officer of Heart of Maine United Way, she led organizational growth, strengthened community partnerships, and advanced initiatives focused on education, financial stability, and health.

“Shirar’s proven leadership and deep understanding of community-based philanthropy make her an excellent addition to our team,” says Cynthia Faulkner, president of Northern Light Health Foundation. “Her experience will help advance our efforts to support patient care, innovation, and community health across our system.”
