Sharon-(1).pngSharon Catus is a seasoned philanthropy leader with more than twenty years of experience advancing mission-driven organizations through strategic fundraising, grant writing, and donor engagement. Known for building meaningful relationships and delivering measurable results, she has helped organizations expand their impact across Maine.

As senior major gift officer, foundations, with the Northern Light Health Foundation, Sharon focuses on securing philanthropic support from foundations and corporations and managing strategic major giving initiatives. Previously, as advancement director at the Abbe Museum, she led transformative growth in donor engagement and fundraising, including substantial increases in event revenue, new major donors, and successful grant funding.

Sharon also served as chief development officer at Downeast Community Partners and earlier at Maine Maritime Academy, where she spearheaded major campaigns and strengthened institutional advancement programs. She holds a master’s degree in organizational leadership from Lewis University and a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Southern Maine.
