We are pleased to introduce R. Guy Hudson, MD, as the new president and CEO of Northern Light Health. Dr. Hudson, an accomplished pediatric urologic surgeon, physician executive, and experienced CEO, succeeds Tim Dentry, who announced his retirement earlier this year.
Dr. Hudson brings more than two decades of clinical and executive leadership experience. Previously, Dr. Hudson served as the CEO of Swedish Health System for six years, and the chief executive of Providence’s North Division, including Puget Sound and Alaska, for two years. Like Northern Light Health, the Providence North Division includes a mix of secular and Catholic facilities, cares for rural communities, and includes several critical access hospitals.
After concluding his Swedish and Providence leadership roles, Dr. Hudson returned to clinical practice in 2023 as a pediatric urologic surgeon in Boise, Idaho. In addition to his leadership in the United States, he has participated in international medical missions, providing care in countries including Guatemala and Uganda.
While there is much work to do in the days ahead, Dr. Hudson thinks there is a bright future ahead for Northern Light Health and the communities it serves. “
