Karen Davis

Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Northern Light Health 

Karen Davis, RN, MHA, serves as executive vice president and chief operating officer (COO) of Northern Light Health, where she is committed to overseeing the system’s operational performance across all its care settings throughout Maine. As COO, Davis is focused on ensuring Northern Light Health patients receive high-quality care that aligns with the organization’s mission, vision, and values. 

Davis brings more than two decades of healthcare leadership experience to her role. She specializes in strategic transformations and operational improvements, driving revenue growth and high-quality outcomes through operational efficiencies and cost management.

Prior to joining Northern Light Health, Davis served as the managing director for Alvarez & Marsal, Healthcare Industry Group, where she oversaw operational turnarounds as interim chief executive officer for various healthcare organizations. She has also served as the COO for American Strategic Health Management, directing strategic planning and operations for diagnostic centers across Saudi Arabia, and has held several leadership roles with HealthSouth, including the Diagnostic Division’s president and COO.
