Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center is proud to be home to the only level III neonatal intensive care unit north of Portland. Each year, the team in the NICU cares for more than 450 premature and critically ill newborns, and approximately 120 of these infants are born at community hospitals throughout central, eastern, and northern Maine. The Medical Center’s Neonatal Transport team – specially trained nurses – are ready within minutes after receiving a call that a baby needs to be transported to the NICU for more highly-specialized care. This team relies on a fleet of air and ground transportation to help them safely transport the babies.
Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center’s Auxiliary is committed to donating $125,000 to help the Medical Center purchase a new critical care ambulance. Proceeds from the sale of tickets from this year’s 17th annual Kitchen Tour will help the Auxiliary fulfill the pledge.
The 2022 Kitchen Tour is a fully virtual experience. Ticket holders will receive a link to the virtual tour upon purchase. The virtual tour’s link will be live through December 9. During this time, you’ll have the opportunity to “tour” each kitchen's unique features, designs, and quality craftsmanship from the comfort on your own home.
