The Northern Light CA Dean Hospital Preserving the Promise Capital Campaign Committee recently unveiled a new Community Match Challenge tracker sign in front of the hospital and announced that the Challenge has surpassed the $400,000 mark. Nearly $100,000 needs to be raised by the end of December to reach the $500,000 match goal.
The Challenge Match, announced on July 1, gives donors an opportunity to double the impact of their Preserving the Promise campaign gift. The Challenge is supported by a generous donor who encourages the community to join in the campaign to build a new hospital in Greenville.
“The success we’ve had so far shows how much this hospital means to our community, and we’re grateful to everyone who has helped us reach the $400,000 milestone,” says Laurie Muzzy, campaign committee member. “With the completion of the goal in sight, we hope that those who haven’t given will help us close the $100,000 gap and unlock the matching half-million-dollar gift.”
Donations to the Challenge Match will support the $6.2 million Preserving the Promise capital campaign. Every dollar raised for the campaign will stay in Greenville to support the new hospital project. Greenville’s new hospital will include a new main hospital building with five “flex care” patient room, an Emergency Department, imaging, lab, an ambulance garage, and a new FAA-approved helipad.
“When my family has needed care, CA Dean Hospital has always been here for us,” says Linda Gilbert, campaign committee member and board chair. “I support the campaign because without CA Dean, we would have to travel long distances for care, and that’s not acceptable. Every individual and family should continue to have access to care right here in the Moosehead Lake Region.”
The Challenge Match sign in front of the hospital will be updated regularly as progress continues toward reaching the $500,000 goal.
