Support Groups

Whether you're looking for help parenting a troubled child or need a shoulder to lean on while recovering from substance abuse, you'll find support at Acadia Hospital.

Many of the support groups to the left are held on the hospital's campus and are free of charge, or are held virtually so you can attend from most anywhere. These groups are open to those who are interested and meet the group's criteria. If there is a group contact person listed, we suggest that you call them before attending your first meeting. The facilitator, or contact person, can help you decide if the support or self-help group is right for you.

Please note that not all of the groups listed are facilitated by Acadia Hospital's employees or directly affiliated with the hospital. As part of our mission to provide education and support to the community, we have opened our doors and meeting rooms to several "outside" organizations to offer their valuable services.
