Flu Season Is Upon Us

Date: 10/01/2019

The average flu season usually lasts from fall to early spring, but that varies depending on the strain and how severe the epidemic becomes. The flu virus changes and adapts annually so new vaccines are created and released every year to keep up with these rapid changes.

Flu symptoms usually include coughing, fever, headache, sore throat and runny nose. Flu shots are safe for most people and many incorrectly assume that the vaccine can give them the flu.

You cannot get the flu from the flu shot. A seasonal flu shot is the single best way to protect you from the flu.
